We spent Aug. 1st - 4th in Utah at Ruth's house. Aug. 2nd is her birthday and we met Linda, Grace, and Megan at Ruth's house to celebrate. The kids loved being with their cousins and we all had fun. Paul watched the kids a couple of times so us girls could go do some shopping. We spent a great evening at Dustin & Crystals and took the kids to The Great Salt Lake. The kids enjoyed swimming in the the lake and Paul demonstrated how easy it was to float because of all the salt in the lake. As I walked out to take pictures of everyone my legs burned from shaving them that morning. The kids all noticed that their legs sparkled on the way to the showers. (dried salt) It brought back memories of long ago when my parents took me and my brothers out to see the lake. Next trip we hope to take the kids to the sand flats where the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean was taped.
The only bummer to our trip was my four kids started fighting high fevers the first night we arrived. We were able to break the fevers and they had no other symptoms except a sore throat so they felt up to still going places and playing together. We came home a day earlier than planned to take them to their doctor because they got red dots on top of the roof of their mouth (doctor thought they could have strep or mono) but the doctor just thought it was a virus and that they were already over most of it. Whatever was wrong with them I am glad their bodies fought it fast and hard so they were better in not time.

The kids really did have a great time. Paul was so great about watching the kids too. It was nice to get away with just you and Ruth. Nice!
